Eder Díaz
Eder Díaz Santillan was born and raised in a small town of Jalisco, Mexico. He came out to his family as a gay man in 2007, right before he went off to college. Díaz earned his Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from California State University, Northridge. He started his radio career doing weekend on-air shifts on Univision Radio’s KLVE 107.5 FM in 2007 and in 2014 he became the producer of their flagship morning radio program “El Show de Omar y Argelia.” In 2018 Díaz Santillan launched "De Pueblo, Católico y Gay," one of the first Spanish-language podcasts dedicated to elevating stories of the Latinx LGBTQ community. In 2021 Eder earned his Master’s degree in Mass Communication with his award-winning thesis “De Pueblo, Católico y Gay.” Today, Díaz is a part-time lecturer at his alma mater and he continues to host and produce his podcast.
